Cherry Hill-based Vantage Commercial said Friday that it successfully completed the off-market sale of Southwood Shopping Center, a retail center in West Deptford.
Located on Route 45, the center has been a well-known neighborhood landmark under the ownership of one family for over 60 years. The new development group of the 83,000-square-foot plaza plans to renovate and revitalize it with the goal of attracting new tenants, modifying the anchors and reinvigorating the center in hopes of providing products and services to the surrounding communities.
That portion of Route 45 is a state highway that connects Westville, Gloucester County, to Salem, Salem County. It serves as a major regional corridor for West Deptford, Mantua, Mullica Hill and Woodstown.
Corinne Giletto, senior adviser at Vantage Commercial, worked on this project for over two years.
Vantage Commercial was retained by the new owners as the leasing broker for the center.
