Tax and business advisory leader Sax LLP announced that effective Nov. 1 Edvin Givargis was chosen to lead the firm’s established State and Local Tax, or SALT, Practice as partner.

Givargis brings nearly 20 years of experience to Sax, effectively managing national, state and jurisdictional tax matters. In his role as head of Sax’s State and Local Tax Practice, he will lead the charge in advising clients in the areas of multistate compliance, controversy and all other technical matters, including research and issuance of opinions.

“State and local tax is a unique area and requires a deep understanding of state legislative and administrative processes and their impact on various entity types.
