Colliers said Tuesday that it hired Charles Calvert as managing director in the firm’s rapidly growing Princeton office. In his new role, Calvert will focus on office leasing and retail properties and will work alongside Executive Managing Director Charlie Hatfield.
Calvert most recently held the role of commercial real estate adviser and sales leader at SVN Ahia Commercial Real Estate, where he leveraged his business background to advise commercial real estate stakeholders with leases, sales, purchases and investment opportunities.
“Princeton is a real area of focus for Colliers and we’re thrilled to add Charles to our growing practice,” said Dennis Waggner, executive managing director, market leader of Colliers New Jersey. “The experience that Charles brings across landlord and tenant representation is an invaluable addition to our firm.”
Prior to his career in real estate, Calvert was a successful sales executive, serving as North American regional director for luxury goods company Montblanc, regional vice president for luxury watches and jewelry company Birks Group and director for Tiffany & Co.
Colliers also announces it has added Adam Taylor as an associate to its Woodbridge team under Senior Managing Director Jacklene Chesler, where he will focus on seeking out potential buyers and helping service existing accounts.
