Riker Danzig welcomes associates

Morristown-based Riker Danzig Scherer Hyland & Perretti LLP said in a Tuesday announcement that it is bolstering the strength of its practice with the addition of three new associates: Katherine A. Buchanan, Ryan M. Dunn and Nakul Y. Shah.

Buchanan is an associate in the firm’s Insurance and Reinsurance Group who focuses her practice on insurance litigation, with significant experience in complex litigation matters in both state and federal courts. She has litigated numerous multimillion-dollar professional malpractice cases, including architectural and engineering malpractice, and also regularly represents clients in alternative dispute resolution forums. Buchanan received her J.D. degree from Seton Hall University School of Law in 2011. Prior to joining Riker Danzig, Buchanan was an associate at Byrne & O’Neill LLP in New York.

Ryan M. Dunn.

Dunn is an associate in the firm’s Commercial Litigation Group who has represented clients in commercial litigation in state and federal courts, and also has experience drafting corporate documents. He received his J.D. degree, cum laude, from Seton Hall University School of Law in 2019. While at Seton Hall, he was an articles editor for the Seton Hall Legislative Journal. Following law school, Dunn served as a law clerk for the Hon. Lisa Rose, Superior Court of New Jersey, Appellate Division.

Nakul Y. Shah.

Shah is an associate in the firm’s Products Liability, Toxic Tort and Mass Tort Group. He is experienced in representing clients in complex commercial disputes, multidistrict product liability litigations and pharmaceutical litigations. Shah received his J.D. degree, cum laude, from Rutgers Law School in 2017. While at Rutgers, he was a member of the Rutgers Computer and Technology Law Journal. Shah began his legal career as a Riker Danzig summer associate in 2015. Following law school, he was assistant corporation counsel at the New York City Law Department, Special Federal Litigation Division. Prior to his current position with Riker Danzig, Shah was an associate at Hill Wallack LLP in Princeton. Shah is the secretary of the South Asian Bar Association of New Jersey and a member of the Asian and Pacific American Lawyers Association.
