ConnectiveRx acquired Rx Savings Assistant from Medicom Digital. The Whippany-based provider of software-enabled patient support and access solutions for specialty and branded medications reaches inpatient and outpatient settings (physician offices, ambulatory health clinics and hospital systems) and has the industry’s most expansive prescriber reach — supporting 720,000 health care providers and their patients.
Rx Savings Assistant’s software automatically finds prescription savings offers and embeds them into qualifying patient records where health care providers see the offers inside their electronic health record workflow and deliver them to patients directly. Top-tier health systems and hospitals across the U.S., including those that are integrated with Epic EHR systems, rely on Rx Savings Assistant for patient support.
“Nearly 43 million patients every year are discharged from health systems that exclusively leverage the tool for prescription savings to patients,” ConnectiveRx CEO Jim Corrigan said. “This EHR plug-in is an easy-to-adopt integration for hospital or health system IT divisions and one that greatly benefits patients, providers and the relationship between the two. Dozens of prominent health care brands already recognize the benefits of this tool and we’re eager to bring it to many more.”
“To date, ConnectiveRx has built a powerful network allowing prescribers to connect patients with prescription savings offers that often make it possible to start critical medications,” noted Medicom Digital co-founder and CEO Barb Goergen. “Rx Savings Assistant is a strong fit for the ConnectiveRx portfolio and under their stewardship will expand to benefit an ever-increasing number of patients.”
