James Costanzo, president of Charity Realty International, announced Thursday that the former PRC-Laser headquarters located at 350 N. Frontage Road in Roxbury is leased.
ASO Safety Solutions, a provider of sensor systems for automated doors, gates and machines, has moved to the 16,200-square-foot industrial building with a long-term lease commitment. Founded in Salzkotten, Germany, in 1984 with its proprietary conductive rubber designs, ASO has grown to into a global leader of industrial safety systems.
“We recognize the many benefits this facility offers our company,” Simon Rockel, ASO’s executive vice president, said. “It has the perfect mix of fully air conditioned high-bay warehouse, office and assembly space. Having both a drive-in and tailboard loading doors, a backup generator and Interstate 80 visibility was an added plus.”
Costanzo represented both the tenant and landlord, Commerce Park Investors, in this transaction.
“With this lease in place, our portfolio of industrial properties is now at 95% occupancy,” said Roy Pascal of Commerce Park Investors. “We want to thank ASO for their cooperation, the town of Roxbury for all their help, Charity Realty and my son Spencer for convincing us to buy this property and delivering such a quality tenant.”
As part of Charity Realty International’s corporate pledge, a grant for $9,000 was divided between the Roxbury Volunteer Fire Department and the New Jersey Ballet. The fire department will use the grant for new equipment, specialty training and building repairs. As part of its 50th Anniversary Sponsorship program, New Jersey Ballet will use the grant to help replace 25-year-old costumes for its production of “The Nutcracker.”
