Nisivoccia LLP, a full-service accounting firm based in Mount Arlington, announced Wednesday that it has merged with Anderson & Co. P.C., a full-service certified public accounting firm based in Bridgewater.
The new firm will keep the Nisicvoccia name and be headquartered in Mount Arlington — but maintain offices in Newton and Bridgewater. Bud Jones will serve as managing partner.
James Anderson will continue as a partner in the Bridgewater office. Kristin Anderson will become a principal and operate out of the Bridgewater and Mount Arlington offices. The remainder of the Anderson team will remain at Nisivoccia’s new Bridgewater office.
“Our shared philosophies and commitment to client service create a seamless environment for the transition of our teams and clients,” Jones said. “I look forward to welcoming the Anderson team to the Nisivoccia family.”
Partner Chris Perrotta said the merger will help Nisivoccia increase its depth of coverage — and its coverage area.
“Merging with Anderson & Co. will enable us to strengthen our position within the nonprofit industry, specifically our focus on the New Jersey-approved private schools for students with disabilities,” he said. “The merger will also allow us to better service our clients in central and southern New Jersey and will facilitate our continued growth throughout New Jersey.”
Nisivoccia has built a strong reputation serving municipalities, school boards, not-for-profits and a wide range of corporate clients in Somerset County. Among the many organizations the firm is active in are the Somerset County Business Partnership and the Employer Legislative Committee.
James Anderson said the merger was the right thing to do.
