Zorn named director of education and business development at NJBankers

Jenn Zorn, who joined the New Jersey Bankers Association more than two decades ago as an executive assistant, was named executive vice president and director of education and business development, the association announced this week.

NJBankers CEO John McWeeney said he was thrilled to make the announcement.

“Jenn has been a huge contributor to the success of NJBankers,” he said. “Her ability to simultaneously oversee and manage multiple successful areas of the association has made her an invaluable asset to the whole team, and our members.”

Zorn joined NJBankers in 1999 as an assistant to the executive vice president, supporting legislative and regulatory efforts while developing online capabilities and digital communications.

Since then, she has been promoted to meetings manager in 2003 and senior vice president in 2015. Prior to her career at the association, she was a paralegal in the Environmental Department for Carpenter Bennett & Morrissey in Newark, and was an MIS clerk for the Environmental Department at Hannoch Weisman in Roseland.

John Fitzgerald, CEO of Magyar Bank and chairman of NJBankers, applauded the promotion.

“Jenn is a master of multitasking and a key part of the NJBankers team,” he said. “Her knowledge of the industry and dedication to providing members with the highest level of service play important roles in the success of NJBankers.”
