Life Assets gets approval for midrise apartment complex in Elizabeth

Springfield-based Life Assets received final site plan approval for a five-story apartment
building on West Jersey Street in Elizabeth.

Architect James Guerra and law firm Hehl & Hehl worked alongside Life Assets for the approval process.

“The city of Elizabeth has an incredible vision for this neighborhood, and we are thrilled to be a part of this new development project,” said Alberto Goncalves, CEO and president of Life Assets.

The new midrise building, which will be located at 308-310 W. Jersey St., will feature 17 two-bedroom units and 26 ground-floor parking spots. Other features include a community room, fitness center, touchless entry into the building and electric vehicle charging stations.

“Since acquiring this property, we have made sure to listen to the needs and characteristics of the neighborhood,” Goncalves added. “This project has been a long road. We envisioned a property that not only fit the characteristics of the neighborhood but served as a beautiful addition.”

The Elmora Hills property was originally acquired in August 2020. Construction is expected to begin this autumn and will take approximately two years to complete.
