The Sidney Kimmel Cancer Center in Cherry Hill opened its doors to patients this week, where, on select days, medical oncology will join existing surgical oncology services in breast, vascular and gastrointestinal surgery, along with ear-nose-throat and dermatology.
Cherry Hill is the second Sidney Kimmel Cancer Center location in southern New Jersey. The existing full-service location at the Jefferson Washington Township Hospital campus opened in 2019.
Currently, medical oncology will be located in the Jefferson Cherry Hill Hospital Medical Office Building with appointments available from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays.
An Oncology Infusion Suite is slated to open in the spring at Jefferson Cherry Hill Hospital, and plans for a newly remodeled expansion for a full-service cancer care at the hospital are underway.
Clinical consultations are available with Medical Director and Chief of Cancer Services Dr. Ana María López, as well as Drs. Anthony P. Scarpaci and Michael Rotkowitz and nurse Courtney Daniels.
“Our teams are honored to have the trust and support of the community to bring state-of-the-art cancer care closer to home,” López said.
