PrimoHoagies to open South Jersey store with free hoagies to first 100 customers

If you like hoagies — or subs, heroes, Italian sandwiches or grinders — PrimoHoagies is opening a new store in Moorestown on Tuesday, and it’s giving away a free Primo Size Hoagie to the first 100 customers in line.

The grand opening of its location at 1030 Nixon Drive in Mount Laurel, owned by local entrepreneur and veteran Eric Allen, will be celebrated with a ribbon-cutting ceremony, beginning promptly at 9:45 a.m.

The 2,100-square-foot retail store is expected to employ 20 people. It will offer takeout, delivery and limited indoor seating. PrimoHoagies also offers catering, including its popular hoagie trays — perfect for special events, gameday and luncheons.

For the rest of grand opening day, customers in the rewards program will enjoy Primo Size Hoagies for just $6.99. Additionally, as part of the day’s festivities, customers will have the opportunity to enter a PrimoHoagies $25,000 Dice Roll. Between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m., the first 300 contestants ages 18 years and older can participate to have a chance at winning $25,000.

Headquartered in Westville, PrimoHoagies, is well known for its gourmet hoagies with high-quality meats and cheeses piled high on fresh-baked rolls.

“I’ve been a PrimoHoagies lover my whole life,” Allen said. “It was a childhood dream to open my own brick-and-mortar business, and I’m finally doing it. I can’t wait to bring a beloved Philly and South Jersey staple to the Moorestown community.”

A South Jersey native, Allen grew up in Marlton and has lived in Cherry Hill since 2015. For five years, he served in the Marine Corps in signals intelligence and, upon his return, received his bachelor’s in criminal justice from Rutgers University. Since his service, he’s worked for the Department of Veterans Affairs and served as chief operating officer for a local tech company.
