Jones, CEO of First National Bank of Elmer, named to board of Bankers Cooperative Group

Brian Jones, CEO of the First National Bank of Elmer, has been named to the board of directors of the Bankers Cooperative Group — a division of the New Jersey Bankers Association.

As CEO of the First National Bank of Elmer, Jones directs all bankwide initiatives that ensure the achievement of the bank’s financial and strategic goals.

“Having someone with Brian’s experience join our board will elevate our efforts and ability to accomplish many of the goals we’ve set for the organization,” said Matthew Cooney, CEO and president of Bankers Cooperative Group.

Founded in 1982, the Bankers Cooperative Group provides insurance solutions to the members of NJBankers. BCG is the administrator of the NJBankers-sponsored Employee Benefits Trust. As such, it leverages thousands of industry employees and their dependents to negotiate group employee benefit programs and pricing not generally attainable on an individual employer basis.

Organized as a cooperative, BCG is unique among New Jersey insurance brokers in working directly on behalf of its client shareholders. Since 1998, BCG has delivered more than $4 million in patronage dividends to their shareholders.

“I am pleased to join the Bankers Cooperative Group and contribute to the success of the organization and the member banks of the New Jersey Bankers Association,” Jones said.
