Hilton Short Hills, closed for nearly 2 years, to reopen March 1

The Hilton Short Hills, a four-diamond luxury hotel considered one of the finest in the state, announced Tuesday that it will reopen March 1.

The 314-room hotel, located across from the upscale Mall at Short Hills, has been closed for nearly two years. It shut down March 22, 2020 — at the onset of the pandemic.

General Manager Chris Akoury said the hotel is eager to reopen.

“Since opening in 1989, Hilton Short Hills has been a pillar in the community,” he said. “For years, the hotel has welcomed travelers and locals alike, many of whom have enjoyed celebratory occasions, from weddings to birthdays. We’re thrilled to welcome back guests and invite them to make new memories.”

To mark its reopening, Akoury said Hilton Short Hills is offering a number of packages this March and April, including a Nordstrom Shop & Stay package, which includes accommodations in a king junior suite, a $100 Nordstrom gift card and a personal stylist, and a Paper Mill Playhouse package, which includes accommodations and tickets for two to the world premiere of “The Wanderer” at Paper Mill Playhouse.

Depending on the time of year, guests can relax by the indoor or outdoor pool, or partake in a game of tennis at the hotel’s two tennis courts. Offering more than 21,000 square feet of meeting space, including a 300-seat grand ballroom, Hilton Short Hills has hosted more than 4,000 weddings and wedding parties throughout the years. Later this spring, the property will reopen the Retreat Bar & Rooftop, where guests can sit fireside and enjoy cocktails and light fare.

The hotel, owned by Park Hotels & Resorts, is located at 41 John F. Kennedy Parkway in Short Hills. Click here for more information.
