Hudson County Women of Commerce and JCMC’s Women’s Health at Grove unite to support health and wellness at every stage

The Women of Commerce Council of the Hudson County Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with Jersey City Medical Center’s Women’s Health at Grove Street, will host a “Galentine’s Day Celebration” promoting women’s health and how to “Love Yourself and Your Friends.”

The co-branded event will feature guest speaker Dr. Patricia Chau, physician specialist in obstetrics and gynecology, who will share the full spectrum of wellness opportunities such as behavioral health, mental health awareness, OB/GYN education, the importance of annual screenings and the ways in which women can continue to be allies for each other.

The newly formed partnership is focused on providing women safe spaces to connect, learn and raise awareness to the accessible health resources in Hudson County.

“We’re excited to launch this new partnership. Enhancing and investing in Hudson County is fundamental to the missions of both the Hudson chamber and our partners at the Jersey City Medical Center,” said chamber CEO and President Maria Nieves. “We believe JCMC’s Grove Street facility provides high quality care for women at every stage of life, and this partnership is a logical next step for both organizations, as we support women who are making an impact in our communities.”

The WOC Council of the Hudson County Chamber was formed in 2020 to assist women-owned businesses. Jordania Rodriguez, a volunteer co-chair of the WOC Council, explained, “It provides educational programs, and leadership and mentoring opportunities to women, whether they are entrepreneurs or side-preneurs, experienced or just starting out.”
