Cushman & Wakefield arranges multiple leases totaling 120,086 sq. ft. across N.J.

Cushman & Wakefield‘s New Jersey-based retail team led by David Townes arranged 19 leases totaling 120,086 square feet in the last quarter of 2021 and start of 2022. The team, which also includes Alana Friedman and Neil Seth, has worked with a multitude of retail tenants and landlords across New Jersey.

“We are pleased to have been able to work with such a wide variety of tenants and landlords across New Jersey,” Townes said. “Retailers have been looking to expand their locations in a range of areas and these leases are evidence of the retail market’s rebound.”

Recent restaurant leases across New Jersey include:

  • 4,585 square feet on behalf of Sangria Restaurant at 800 Jackson St. in Hoboken. The team represented the landlord in the transaction. Dan Zappala of Ripco Real Estate represented the tenant.
  • 3,100 square feet on behalf of Ondo at 3 2nd St. in Jersey City. The team represented the landlord in the transaction. Kenny Mandelbaum of KAM Management represented the tenant.
  • 3,027 square feet on behalf of Dunkin Donuts at 200 W. Passaic St. in Rochelle Park. The team represented the landlord in the transaction. Sabre represented the tenant.
  • 2,650 square feet on behalf of Chipotle at 30 Montgomery in Jersey City. The team represented the landlord in the transaction. Glenn Beyer of Newmark represented the tenant.
  • 2,200 square feet on behalf of Kura Sushi at the Newport Tower located at 525 Washington St. in Jersey City. The team represented the landlord in the transaction. Alison Horbach of Ripco Real Estate represented the tenant.
  • 2,000 square feet on behalf of Maman at 70 Hudson St. in Jersey City. The team represented the landlord in the transaction. Taryn Brandes of Brand Urban represented the tenant.
  • 1,750 square feet on behalf of Hoots at the Newport Tower located at 525 Washington St. in Jersey City. The team represented the tenant and the landlord in the transaction.
  • 1,100 square feet on behalf of Taqueria Los Gueros at 706 Bloomfield Ave. in Montclair. The team represented the tenant and the landlord in the transaction.
  • 400 square feet on behalf of Gong Cha at 129 E. Broad St. in Westfield. The team represented the tenant and the landlord in the transaction.

  • 21,000 square feet on behalf of Planet Fitness at the Styertowne Shopping Center, located at 1051 Bloomfield Ave. in Clifton. The team represented the tenant in the transaction. Jerry Welkis of Welco Realty represented the landlord.
  • 17,000 square feet on behalf of Phenix Salon Suites at 611 Washington Blvd. in Jersey City, the largest Phenix Salon Suites in the country. The team represented the tenant and worked directly with the owner, Simon, in the transaction.
  • 14,500 square feet on behalf of Phenix Salon Suites at 1051 Bloomfield Ave. in Clifton. The team represented the tenant in the transaction. Jerry Welkis represented the landlord.
  • 12,674 square feet on behalf of Phenix Salon Suites at Greenleaf at Union Shopping Center located at 1235 W. Chestnut St. in Union. The team represented the tenant in the transaction. Mike Horne of CBRE represented the landlord.
