Felician University announces new chairman of the board

James “Jim” D’Agostino Jr. was unanimously approved as the new chairman of Felician University’s board of trustees.

“This is very exciting news for our Felician community at such a transformational time. The D’Agostino family has a long history of dedication and service to Felician University and the greater community,” Felician University President James W. Crawford III said in prepared remarks.

D’Agostino is the president of JD Cos., headquartered in Hackensack, a consortium of companies specializing in commercial and residential real estate, construction, development, management, sales and leasing services in New Jersey, Pennsylvania and New York.

A graduate of Xavier High School in New York City, he received his B.S. in civil engineering from Lehigh University, and his Juris Doctorate from New York Law School. D’Agostino has been active in professional and nonprofit organizations throughout his adult life, including the YMCA, Boys and Girls Club and Boy Scouts of America. He is also a past chairman of the Commerce and Industry Association of New Jersey.
