Somerset-based information technology solutions provider SHI International recorded another revenue record in 2021, reaching the $12.3 billion mark — a 10% gain over 2020.
It noted that its second-half numbers were up 14% year-over-year from the same period in 2020, with the success continuing into January.
“I am extremely thankful for and proud of the effort and dedication SHI’s employees showed in posting a new company revenue record and passing the $12 billion milestone just one year after reaching the $11 billion mark,” CEO and President Thai Lee said in a prepared statement. “Combining our continued expansion of product and services capabilities with our first corporate rebrand in two decades, SHI is better positioned than ever to find new and innovative ways to support the IT and business needs of our 15,000 global customers.
“Our momentum allows for continued, sustained growth that will power reinvestment in the professional development of SHI employees and the world-class service they provide our customers.”
The company credited margin expansion, increasing professional services engagements and continued operational success with operating profits growing ahead of revenue.
Highlights of the year included the hiring of more than 500 solution engineers, continued investment in the Stratascale platform and the opening of its Singapore Integration Center.
Another integration center, in the U.K., is scheduled to come online in the second quarter.
