Eurasia Stone purchases Plainfield industrial space for $1.23M

Sheldon Gross Realty brokers deal on 18,000-square-foot location

A two-story, 18,000-square-foot industrial property in Plainfield has been sold for $1.23 million, according to a Tuesday announcement from Sheldon Gross Realty, which brokered the deal.

The former storage and fabrication facility, at 403 Berckman St., was acquired by Eurasia Stone.

The property features a pair of distinct indoor spaces — a 10,500-square-foot ground floor featuring an office and warehouse, plus a 7,500-square-foot upper floor for additional storage.

“Eurasia Stone was looking for a storage facility, which is what this property is primarily suited for,” Sheldon Gross Realty’s Matt Leonelli said. “They needed convenient access to area ports and to their headquarters office. Ultimately, this location addressed all their needs.”

Only a 35-minute drive from Port Newark, the Plainfield property is adjacent to Route 28 and less than 2 miles from Route 22. In addition, it’s just 20 minutes from Interstate 287 and Interstate 78, while providing easy access to Route 1 and the Garden State Parkway.
