Founded in 1957, UFCW Union Local 888 is one of the most diverse labor unions in the United Food and Commercial Workers International. UFCW Local 888 boasts a membership of over 6,000 members from a wide range of industries across New York and New Jersey.
Previously based in East Rutherford, the local labor union’s search for a new regional headquarters brought it to Elmwood Park Plaza, which is conveniently located at 475 Market St. near Interstate 80, Route 46 and the Garden State Parkway.
Elmwood Park Plaza is a professionally managed office building comprised of four stories and 68,000 square feet of easily adaptable office space. The building’s highly accessible location also boasts easy access to public transportation as well as multiple retail and dining options within a short walking distance, including a Dunkin’ next door as well as nearby CVS and Manhattan Bagel locations. In addition, the building features ample on-site surface and covered parking and has approved zoning for both office and medical uses.
“We continue to see heightened demand for office space across our portfolio and remain bullish on the sector despite the challenges over the past two years,” said Steve Jennings, vice president of leasing and marketing at Alfred Sanzari Enterprises. “For tenants like UFCW Local 888, the importance of having a space where employees can collaborate, and its members can easily access the location and services, cannot be overstated and continues to drive demand across the sector.”
