Kumon North America and Northstar Travel Media both signed long term leases at the Meadows, a two-building, 600,000-square-foot trophy asset located at 201/301 Route 17 N. in Rutherford, according to a Wednesday announcement from Cushman & Wakefield.
Cushman & Wakefield’s Curtis Foster and Jerry Shifrin represented the landlord, American Landmark Properties, in both transactions.
“We successfully preleased this space six months prior to it becoming available to two large, great credit companies that we are thrilled to welcome to the building,” Foster said. “Both groups took advantage of the great existing conditions, which allows for a best-in-class tenant experience.”
Kumon North America, an after-school tutoring center, will occupy 21,651 square feet on the 12th floor.
Northstar Travel Media, a travel information services, data, events and marketing solutions company, will occupy 13,195 square feet on the 11th floor.
Recent upgrades to the Meadows include a state-of-the-art conference center, stunning new lobbies, a renovated fitness center and a building cafeteria.
“Ownership continues to invest heavily into the building to ensure maximum tenant experience, comfort and satisfaction,” Shifrin added.
The property is located at the intersection of Route 3 and Route 17, allowing for easy access to the surrounding hotel, retail and dining options. The asset is also located near the Secaucus Junction train station, New Jersey Turnpike and the Lincoln Tunnel, providing direct access to the surrounding neighborhoods.
