Former Bow Tie Cinemas in Hoboken sells for $13M; will serve as new HQ for Grace Church

Hoboken Theaters sold the former Bow Tie Cinemas in Hoboken for $13 million to Hoboken Grace Community Church, according to a Thursday announcement from Katz & Associates.

Located at 409 14th Road, the 20,000-square-foot venue will serve as the new headquarters and community center for services, concerts, school graduations and other activities for the congregation.

Katz & Associates Director Jonathan Greenberg represented Hoboken Theaters LLC, while JLL’s Jon Compitello and Dan Spero represented Hoboken Grace Community Church in the transaction.

“Hoboken Grace has been a fixture for a long time and had been looking for a more permanent home,” said Greenberg. “The theater’s closing during the pandemic provided a good opportunity for Grace Church to take the space. It will be an asset to the community.”

It is anticipated to open later this year.
