Brian Case of Toms River has been appointed as Deborah Heart and Lung Center‘s new vice president of strategic planning and business development, according to a Thursday announcement from Joseph Chirichella, CEO and president of the center.

A seasoned health care executive, Case joins Deborah from RWJBarnabas Health and Community Medical Center, where he most recently served as assistant vice president of business development. Case’s health care career has included developing and implementing service line growth strategies and physician recruitment and retention.

“We are excited to have Brian join our team,” Chirichella said. “He brings a vast range of experience in strategic and business development that closely aligns with our regional growth goals. Deborah’s commitment to improving access to heart, lung and vascular services in the communities we serve includes collaborating with physician practices to bring specialized care closer to patients in the communities where they live, and we are excited to have Brian join our efforts. His knowledge of the physicians in the community and needs of the patients in the area will be a great benefit to Deborah.”

Case has a B.S. in public health administration from Stockton University and an MBA from Louisiana State University, Shreveport. He currently resides in Toms River, where he is a member of various volunteer groups and organizations within Ocean County.

“I’m delighted to join the team at Deborah,” Case said. “I am excited at the opportunity to support the extraordinary clinical team at the hospital and be a part of making the vision to bring that expertise further into the community a reality.”
