Unity Bank said it promoted Alvita Ayers to vice president/SBA manager. In collaboration with Unity’s senior management, Ayers develops and implements strategies to prudently grow the bank’s Small Business Administration loan portfolio and meet existing and emerging customer needs.
Ayers, a Phillipsburg resident, has more than 30 years of banking industry experience and joined Unity in 2014 working with its SBA and commercial lending teams. She previously worked with large regional and national banks in a variety of capacities.
“Alvita has been a valuable member of the Unity family for eight years, so we are thrilled to announce her promotion,” Unity Bank CEO and President James Hughes said. “She is a business lending veteran who brings significant experience to her new role. Unity has long been one of the most active SBA lenders among community banks, and we are confident the program will continue to enjoy success in the future.”
“I am looking forward to this opportunity to lead and grow the Unity SBA lending program,” said Ayers. “We can match businesses with the right program to assist businesses and, as a preferred lender, can approve loans without prior SBA review and help business owners get the money they need quickly.”
