He talks about what’s attracting today’s renters to multifamily properties in New Jersey.
“As working remotely continues to be the norm, we are seeing many residents seeking properties that offer the right mix of amenities and unit layouts to make living and working at home enjoyable, along with the accessibility to transportation options for those venturing back to the office or shifting to a hybrid work model. At several of our new properties in New Jersey, including one of our newest properties, Station Bay in South Amboy, we opted to add even more private offices and coworking spaces to provide an added layer of convenience for our residents. We are also finding that renters are searching for properties that offer a sense of community with robust programming in place. At the start of the pandemic, we appointed activities directors at all of our properties, who create a monthly calendar of both virtual and in-person events to enhance our residents’ living experience. Lastly, we have seen many residents seeking a closer connection to the outdoors. At Station Bay, residents have accessibility to a courtyard with a swimming pool and outdoor bar, and the property is also walking distance to South Amboy’s thriving downtown district.”
