TCNJ has announced the appointment of Jonathan Meer to the position of associate vice president for development and alumni engagement, effective May 2.
In this role, Meer will be responsible for increasing overall support for the college and overseeing comprehensive and targeted campaigns. He also will develop goals, strategies, and programs for the successful execution of the college’s fundraising and alumni initiatives.
“Jonathan has a long and successful track record in higher ed advancement,” said John Donohue, vice president for college advancement. “TCNJ will benefit greatly from his leadership as it seeks to grow philanthropic support and alumni engagement.”
Meer previously served as senior philanthropic advisor for the Bruce Springsteen Archives and Center for American Music at Monmouth University. Prior to this role, Meer served as Monmouth’s vice president for university advancement from March 2018–July 2020.

Before his tenure at Monmouth, Meer served as vice president at Rider University from 2005–2018. At Rider, he was responsible for the management of development, alumni relations, and communications activities for the university’s two campuses, and served as secretary of the university.
