Riker Danzig Welcomes Back Ryan O’Neill

Riker Danzig Scherer Hyland & Perretti LLP on Monday announced the return of Ryan O’Neill to the Morristown-based firm as a partner after serving as an assistant U.S. attorney for the District of New Jersey, Criminal Division, since October 2018.

O’Neill was previously an associate at Riker Danzig for four years before joining the U.S. Attorney’s Office. She rejoins the firm’s White Collar Criminal Defense and Investigations Group, where her practice will focus on white collar criminal defense, corporate and government investigations, state administrative proceedings and complex civil litigation.

She is also experienced in state and federal grand jury investigations, state professional and licensing board inquiries, and state consumer class actions.

As an assistant U.S. attorney, O’Neill supervised complex criminal prosecutions and civil enforcement actions involving a range of matters, including large-scale health care fraud schemes, corporate misconduct, tax, civil and regulatory offenses, and qui tam whistleblower actions.

She most recently served in the office’s Health Care Fraud Unit. Her prior positions included roles in the office’s Opioids Abuse Prevention & Enforcement Unit and the Public Protection Unit, where she handled cases involving drug diversion, violent crimes and child sex offenses.
