Mike DeLamater, a former top aide to Gov. Phil Murphy and the current Morris County Democratic vice chairman, announced Monday that he is launching a new consulting firm, Market Street Strategies.
The firm will offer lobbying, business development and political consulting services.
News of the announcement was first reported by the New Jersey Globe.
“Throughout my career in government and politics, I’ve learned that success is defined by having a clear vision, creating an effective strategy and executing it well, and that is exactly what I plan to bring to clients of Market Street Strategies,” DeLamater told the Globe.
“From the local level to statewide initiatives, companies in the public affairs space need experienced, creative advisers who can help them navigate the worlds of government, politics and business, and our firm is uniquely positioned to offer that service to clients in many different industries.”
DeLamater helped Murphy win election in 2017 and reelection in 2021. He also has served as a deputy chief of staff to the governor.
