Continental Properties announces addition of Udell as principal

Continental Properties on Thursday announced the addition of John Udell as principal to the firm’s regional development portfolio.

Udell is an accomplished executive who joins the Continental team after being appointed by Erwin Fisch, the founder who has been at the helm for over 50 years. Udell himself brings over 30 years of experience in the field to the role, most recently serving as the president of Weichert Development. During his career, Udell acquired, transacted, developed and built real estate valued in the billions.

Udell will be working alongside Erwin and Mark Fisch, out of their Woodbridge and New York City offices.

“Our working relationship with John has been on a variety of projects in many capacities over the years, and we are excited to have him on our team. We welcome John to the Continental team, and we will be increasing our project pipeline,” Erwin Fisch stated.

Udell’s contributions to the industry as a life director of the Builders Association, combined with his competitive spirit are evident in his achievement of three-time All-American, Governors Cups and induction into Johnson State College (Johnson, Vermont) Hall of Fame.

“When you love what you do, it’s not work. Erwin’s leadership combined with John’s talent and passion for real estate development is a win-win for everyone,” Mark Fisch said.

“I will utilize my experience, industry connections and professional skills to grow Continental by expanding their portfolio as it moves forward with its latest community in Livingston. The community includes 166 apartment units that are ideally situated across from the Livingston Mall,” Udell said. “I am grateful for my time at Weichert. I look forward to leveraging my years in the industry at Continental Properties during this exciting period in the firm’s growth.”
