The Hazel, the new luxury rentals in Jersey City’s historic Bergen-Lafayette, has leased 65% of its 114 upscale apartment homes, according to a Monday announcement.
Located at 89 Monitor St., the new six-story building features a mix of generously sized and well-appointed studio to two-bedroom residences and a full suite of socially infused indoor and outdoor amenities, according to development partners Alpine Residential and Fields Grade, which tapped the Marketing Directors as exclusive marketing and leasing agent. The property will be managed by the developers’ affiliated management company, South Oxford Management.
Homes at the Hazel are offered at net-effective monthly rents starting at $2,240 with a limited-time incentive of up to 1.5 months free on select lease terms.
Spurring high rental velocity at the Hazel is the opportunity to see its well-rounded lifestyle on full display, with the recent unveiling of its package of forward-thinking, resort-inspired amenities. The development partners said the communal spaces radiate a chic and trendy feel that’s on par with fashionable resort destinations and designer five-star hotels. Found within the building are a Sky Lounge with New York City views, outdoor courtyards, coworking space, library with fireplace, state-of-the-art fitness center, demonstration kitchen and an amenity guest suite.
The full-service resident experience is further enhanced by on-site concierge, a package room, bike storage, covered parking with electric car charging stations, onsite electric scooters and ground floor retail space.
An exciting new amenity at the Hazel is TULU, an on-demand smart rental store for high-quality household and lifestyle products. This will be available specifically to Hazel residents and will also come with some fun giveaways and perks for first-time users.
“It’s no secret amenities play a significant role in a renter’s decision in Jersey City’s highly competitive apartment market,” said Bill Rosato, managing partner of Alpine Residential.
Designed by Fogarty Finger Architecture, the Hazel features a façade comprised of gray and green brick punctuated by large floor-to-ceiling windows as a nod to the neighborhood’s industrial heritage.
