Leasing activity has been active at Metroplex Corporate Center in Edison, according to a Monday announcement from NAI DiLeo-Bram & Co.
Located at 200 Metroplex Drive, the 264,000-sqaure-foot, three-building office park offers a wide assortment of amenities including food service, on-site property management, security, new elevators and a new parking lot. The corporate center is located directly across from the New Jersey Transit Edison station and is in close proximity to Routes 1 and 27, as well as the Garden State Parkway and New Jersey Turnpike. The Metroplex complex is currently 95% leased.
NAI DiLeo-Bram & Co. Executive Vice President Robert Dinner served as the exclusive leasing agent in the recent signing of over 33,000 square feet of office leases at the complex. Dinner represented the tenants and the landlord, Metroplex Associates, in the transactions.
Rutgers University’s Behavioral Health Care Center signed a 14,500-square-foot extension at the property, enabling it to stay in the building, which is centrally located to the university.
DPK Consulting LLC, a land surveying company, benefited from leasing space that had been available for sublease. As a result, it signed a 9,100-square-foot, long-term direct lease with the landlord that was “plug and play” and included furniture, workstations and information technology wiring.
Naik Group, an engineering firm that designs state, federal and public works transportation systems, signed a 10,200-square-foot renewal and used this opportunity to reconfigure its space while remaining in occupancy and continuing to meet its long-term real estate needs while servicing its clients’ projects.
“I am pleased to have completed these leases at Metroplex Corporate Center,” Dinner said in a prepared statement. “Rutgers and Naik are longtime tenants at the property and wished to remain in their spaces. DPK was previously located in multiple office spaces within a building in Piscataway, and this new premises met the company’s business goals by allowing all of its employees to be accommodated in one location.”
Jeremy Schall, the landlord’s in-house leasing representative, commented: “The success of the high occupancy level we have achieved over the years at Metroplex Corporate Center is a result of many factors, including the great location of the property at the Edison Train Station, companies’ employees living locally, the guidance of our real estate professional, Rob Dinner, and the personal relationships we maintain with our tenants. Last, but equally important, our property management team maintains everything in first-class condition so our tenants are happy.”
