Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield of New Jersey ranked No. 1 for the highest member satisfaction among commercial health plans in New Jersey and also took the top ranking from its members for the key factors of cost and coverage and benefits.
Horizon CEO Gary St. Hilaire said the company was honored by the recognition.
“Our members are the center of everything we do,” he said. “It is gratifying to again earn this honor reflecting their trust.
“Being there when our members need us most has been in our company’s DNA for 90 years, and it is what drives everyone at Horizon to bring our mission to life every day.”
The J.D. Power 2022 U.S. Commercial Member Health Plan Study was fielded from January to April of this year among commercial HMO, PPO and POS health plan members, and is based on responses across 147 health plans in 22 market-based regions of the U.S.
Horizon’s members gave the company an overall score of 729, 11 points higher than the score earned by the next closest competitor.
“As New Jersey’s leading health solutions company, Horizon delivers for our customers by providing the products and services they want and an unrivaled partnership with the health professionals they trust,” St. Hilaire said. “The J.D. Power Award reflects our goal to not only be the biggest health insurer in New Jersey, but the best.”
