Historic Morristown Green’s 1st outdoor dining spot is now open

Morristown’s newest trendy, urban, casual outdoor dining spot, 1776 by David Burke, is the first Morristown establishment to offer outdoor dining adjacent to the beautiful, historic Green.

With the unofficial start to summer 2022, diners can enjoy the outdoor patio for lunch, dinner and Sunday brunch.

Named to the Top 20 Steakhouses in NJ 2022 by NJ Monthly, 1776 by David Burke was awarded a rare three and a half stars. 1776 Patio on the Green features a collection of red, white, sparkling wines and champagnes, artisan cocktails, craft beers — both draft and cans/bottles — and a tailor-made menu filled with a variety of innovative dishes all perfect for al fresco dining.

The menu will feature the restaurant’s signature DB Lobster Roll, sharable David Burke clothesline bacon, naked oysters, signature, dry-aged steaks and cheeseburger, pizza, pasta, summer salads, sushi and, of course, decadent desserts.

The restaurant was designed by the renowned Michael Graves Architectural Design and won “Best Indoor/Outdoor Design” by the Urban Land Institute’s North New Jersey Excellence Awards.

The patio is outfitted with the finest custom European-style bistro chairs and tables, comfortable lounges, a romantic outdoor firepit and a soothing restored, historic fountain.

Seating is first come, first serve. Plans for live music are in the works (weather providing).
