Leica Camera relocates North American HQ to Glenpointe in Teaneck

Leica Camera, an international, premium manufacturer of cameras and sports optics dedicated to the advancement of photography, announced Tuesday that it is moving its North American headquarters to Glenpointe in Teaneck.

The company, which was founded in 1869, had been based in Allendale.

In Teaneck, it will move into a new 12,274-square-foot space at Glenpointe Centre West, the largest of the three buildings that make up the office component of the sprawling Glenpointe corporate campus. The new location, located at 500 Frank W. Burr Blvd., will include executive offices as well as a camera display showroom and equipment repair facility.

Glenpointe was developed and is owned and operated by Alfred Sanzari Enterprises. Located six miles from New York City, it is considered one of the tri-state area’s preeminent work-play-stay corporate campus locations. The complex spans 50 acres and includes 670,000 square feet of highly adaptable Class A office space.

Leica Camera President Mike Giannattasio said the location was a perfect fit.

“As we toured Glenpointe, it was immediately clear that every aspect of the tenant experience has been meticulously designed to engage our employees and to inspire them to continue to deliver the high-quality products and services that Leica has become synonymous with over our history,” he said. “We are excited to bring our team to Glenpointe and continue to build upon our success over the years to come.”

Giannattasio said Leica’s longtime brand is built upon a tradition of excellent quality and innovative technologies paired with renowned German craftsmanship and industrial design. Leica Camera Inc. is also committed to growing the global photography community through its Leica Galleries; the Leica Akademie, a renowned global photography education program; and a wide range of award programs including the Leica Oskar Barnack Award, which is considered one of the world’s most prestigious photography awards.

Newmark’s Jeff Schotz, Peter Rossi, Dan Reider, Peter Kasparian and David Simson represented Alfred Sanzari Enterprises in the transaction. Mark Zaziski and Marc Trevisan of Cushman & Wakefield represented Leica Camera.

“We continue to see tenants gravitate towards amenity-rich, well-located, and modern office buildings like Glenpointe as they welcome their workforces back to the office and jumpstart their dormant corporate cultures. In this search for a truly culture-defining workplace, Alfred Sanzari Enterprises’ visionary construction and consistent capital improvements have ensured that there is no other property in the market better suited to do so than Glenpointe,” Reider said.
