South Amboy’s Station Bay surpasses 50% lease mark (SLIDESHOW)

New construction residences and hotel-style amenities merge with downtown access and public transit to drive leasing activity

There is a new rental community on the waterfront in South Amboy that is injecting new life into the city. Just three months after opening, Station Bay has surged past the 50% leased milestone, according to a Monday announcement from developer BNE Real Estate Group.

The collection of 291 luxury residences and over 37,000 square feet of amenities and social spaces is transforming the area of Middlesex County. The community is the first phase to open as part of a $500 million multiphase redevelopment project that encompasses a total reimagination and revitalization of South Amboy’s Raritan Bay waterfront.

BNE also announced the celebration of more milestones, such as the opening of the community’s outdoor pool and private cabanas, and the groundbreaking of a new public ferry terminal in South Amboy that will offer direct service to Manhattan.
