Baker Street Behavioral Health named Dr. Adeola Sonaike as chief operating officer, overseeing a growing team of psychologists, psychiatrists and mental health counselors.
Sonaike’s addition comes at a time when Baker Street has expanded its psychology, psychiatry, and neuropsychology practice into numerous additional states — both in brick-and-mortar locations, and via the rapidly expanding field of telehealth.
As COO, Sonaike will direct the Hasbrouck Heights’ facility’s clinical operations, new program and product development, provider and customer experience and support services, as well as new business initiatives. The Baker Street team will rely on Sonaike’s unique combination of extensive operations improvement and innovative go-to-market expertise, ensuring Baker Street’s clinical integrity and continued expansion into all 50 states.
“We are extremely proud to add Dr. Sonaike to our ever-expanding team — and business, as her hiring is reflective of our company’s continual expansion into a national mental health services provider that provides leading care to our patients,” said Dr. Joe Galasso, founding partner and CEO of Baker Street Behavioral Health. “Dr. Sonaike is a valued addition to our team, as her breadth of experience complements our company’s diverse suite of mental health services.”
Sonaike brings more than a decade of experience in the public health, epidemiology, health policy, chronic disease prevention, intellectual and developmental disabilities and neuroepidemiology fields. She has led numerous efforts in the development and implementation of public health initiatives and population health services for individuals with complex care and special health care needs through research, advocacy, program development and community engagement. She is also a founding director at Epilepsy Alliance America. As an epidemiologist, she has led pandemic response and organizational cohesion efforts in the nonprofit sector, the corporate sector and for professional sports.
