Bayonne’s place among other New Jersey Gold Coast destinations is being cemented with the launch of leasing at Skye Lofts North, a new luxury rental building in the Hudson County city’s downtown district, according to an announcement from Skye Development LLC.
The new offering is the second Skye Lofts building to come to market, following the successful lease-up of the adjacent 90-home Skye Lofts South community in 2019.
Located at 260 Avenue E, the new collection of 98 residences and modern amenities sits in the heart of the neighborhood’s shopping, dining, parks and year-round community events and is next to the 22nd Street Hudson-Bergen Light Rail Station with service to neighboring Jersey City and Hoboken.
Monthly rents for Skye Lofts North’s well-appointed one-, two- and three-bedroom residences start at $2,005 (net effective) with up to two months free on a 14-month lease, according to the Marketing Directors, the building’s exclusive marketing and leasing agent. Initial occupancy is expected on July 1.
“Bayonne is quickly realizing its potential as the next Gold Coast hot spot,” Mitchell Burakovsky, president of locally based Skye Development LLC, said. “Its appeal largely stems from having a less-densely developed and more suburban setting than Jersey City and Hoboken, while still offering a walkable downtown with a growing list of shops, dining, conveniences and commuter connectivity. We’re delighted to follow up the success of our first building with the introduction of Skye Lofts North, which will continue to shape this burgeoning neighborhood while providing a value-laden alternative to what’s being offered throughout Hudson County.”
Skye Lofts North boasts an eye-catching exterior with mixed brick and panel façade with stucco accents. Inside the modern six-story building are designer residences featuring expansive and open layouts with soaring 22-foot ceiling heights in the lofts and 10-foot ceiling heights in the traditional floor plans, hardwood plank flooring and custom kitchens.
“Skye Lofts North offers a full suite of amenities to create a boutique hotel-like environment,” Jacqueline Urgo, president of the Marketing Directors, stated. “The building offers a penthouse communal space with outdoor terrace and indoor common room, fully equipped fitness center and virtual reality game room.”
The building is directly behind the 22nd Street Light Rail, which delivers residents to PATH trains into New York City, as well as the entertainment, nightlife and cultural pursuits along the Hudson River Gold Coast. There’s also easy access to the New Jersey Turnpike, Interstate 78, Route 440 and the Holland Tunnel.
