Inspira Medical Center Vineland dedicates Blue Heart for Heroes installation

Inspira Medical Center Vineland, part of Inspira Health, held a ribbon-cutting ceremony to formally dedicate its “Blue Heart for Heroes,” an 11-foot-tall by 12-foot-wide blue steel heart located outside the hospital’s entrance.

The heart was installed in September.

The 5,000-pound installation recognizes the dedication and compassion of all health care workers throughout the ongoing fight against COVID-19. In addition, it will be a visual reminder of the community’s gratitude for the tireless efforts of local health care workers.

“On behalf of our entire organization, I would like to extend our sincere appreciation to Ron Rossi, the chairman of our board of trustees; board member Hugh McCaffrey; their families; and community partners Southern New Jersey Steel, Wolfe Painting and Garton’s Rigging, for creating, donating and installing this beautiful piece of art,” Amy Mansue, CEO and president of Inspira Health, stated. “The ‘Blue Heart for Heroes’ at Inspira Medical Center Vineland stands as a permanent tribute to our health care heroes and will continue to inspire us all as we move forward together, as a community.”

Inspira Health launched a Blue Hearts for Heroes campaign during the early months of the pandemic to recognize the frontline staff’s bravery and unwavering commitment to protect the local community. Members of the community responded by placing blue hearts in their windows to show their gratitude for Inspira’s Health Care Heroes.
