Atlantic Health System acquires facilities from Lehigh Valley Health

Atlantic Health System has acquired several Coordinated Health facilities in Phillipsburg, a move that will help the system improve patient access to high-quality care in western New Jersey.

The purchase includes an ambulatory facility offering patients numerous services, including primary care, walk-in services, physical therapy and rehabilitation, orthopedics/sports medicine, laboratory services, gynecology/women’s health, and imaging and radiology.

Atlantic Health also acquired a nearby ophthalmology practice where patients can receive ophthalmology and optometry and optical services. Clinical leadership at all locations, including physicians, nurses and other caregivers, will remain in place to ensure continuity of care.

Well positioned near the New Jersey-Pennsylvania border, the facilities were part of the Lehigh Valley Health Network. Now, as part of Atlantic Health System, they will offer patients in both states convenient access to Atlantic Health’s award-winning specialty care services close to home.

The facilities will also be able to seamlessly share information with Epic, Atlantic Health’s electronic medical record platform, allowing a patient’s medical information to travel with them throughout Atlantic Health’s entire network of care, including more advanced services at its award-winning medical centers.

“Delivering more accessible, convenient care advances our mission to build healthier communities,” Atlantic Health CEO Brian Gragnolati said. “The talented caregivers now practicing at Coordinated Health perform essential services that support the well-being of local residents. We are proud to play our part in supporting this community on its journey to greater health and wellness.”
