Pier Village, located at the Jersey Shore’s oceanfront beach town of Long Branch, will soon have another hotel added to its community.
Last week, Kushner Cos. said it received approval for the WAVE SPA Hotel — a to-be-built, 107-key hotel that will include a full-service spa, indoor and outdoor infinity pools, bar/restaurant and a rooftop sun deck. This property maximizes views to the Atlantic Ocean and has direct access to the beach.
“The WAVE SPA Hotel will be the last piece of the development project of Pier Village,” Michael Sommer, the executive vice president of development and construction at Kushner Cos., said.
Pier Village is an attractive resort destination whose live-play-stay experience redefines luxury on the Jersey Shore. It is even in close proximity to New York City, offers buyers a year-round luxury escape and overall relaxing lifestyle for the long term. There’s even ice skating available in the winter.
Sommer spoke with ROI-NJ about how the destination has proven time and again that there are plenty of reasons to spend time in Long Branch year-round.
In addition to the breathtaking water views of the Atlantic Ocean, Pier Village offers over 130,000 square feet of retail space that is leased to a variety of dynamic and eclectic restaurants and shops, it offers 493 luxury rental apartments, 243 upscale condos and currently 91 hotel rooms.
The new WAVE SPA Hotel is planned to break ground in early 2023 and will serve as a sister hotel to the adjacent Wave Resort, which by comparison comprises 67 rooms, and its other sister hotel, the Bungalo, which comprises 24 keys.
WAVE SPA Hotel will be located at the far southern side of Pier Village community and offer not only an ideal location but indoor and outdoor pools, sauna and steam rooms, a hot tub, a sun deck, club lounge, fitness center and private terraces. The WAVE SPA will offer guests a convenient and inspired escape from the hustle of everyday life by providing great food, fun social spaces and comfortable lodging.
Hotel customers will also be able to utilize all the amenities from all three hotels.
“Pier Village is truly a year-round destination and adding another hotel and full spa to the mix stands as a testament to that point and really allows more opportunities for our customers to come and enjoy Pier Village retail and hospitality and residential on a very regular basis any time of year,” Sommer stated.
Pier Village is only a 15-minute drive from Asbury Park and an hour’s drive from New York City. Rail access is available via a shuttle service that takes residents directly to the nearby New Jersey Transit train station, offering an additional convenient travel option.
