Renaissance Properties announces 3 new businesses at The Shops at Old York Village in Chesterfield

The downtown mixed-use center is now more than 50 percent leased

Renaissance Properties said Monday that commercial opportunities are becoming more limited at The Shops at Old York Village in Chesterfield due to three new commercial leases.

Fundaes Arcade & Ice Cream, Gervasio’s Italian Family Restaurant, along with Mikey Bagels have all chosen to make The Shops at Old York Village their new home.

The new “downtown” mixed-use center consists of approximately 39,000 square-foot of retail/commercial space with two separate building locations, along with 34 residential apartments above.

“In addition to the popular STEM Academy for Young Kids, 2022 has generated significant interest from new business operators eager to join this unique center,” Robert Adinolfi, chief operating officer at Renaissance Properties stated.

Fundaes is a 7,000 square foot arcade featuring a full-service ice cream parlor. With the latest games along with classic favorites, it will offer fun for the whole family including unique birthday party experiences when it opens this fall.

Gervasio’s Italian Family Restaurant will offer traditional Italian cuisine prepared by a generational restauranteur with roots in the local area.

Mikey Bagels will not only offer their popular, time-tested bagels and coffee but will feature a café to enjoy sips and bites on-site.

Situated on the new Saddle Way boulevard, just down the street from the Chesterfield Elementary School, Renaissance Properties believes The Shops at Old York Village gives businesses the rare opportunity to open on a new “main street” specifically designed to meet the needs of over 1,100 newer homes and also capitalize on the very limited retail offerings in the local area.

“Businesses seeking to distinguish themselves from the more common strip centers found along Routes 130 and 206, each less than two miles away, will find The Shops at Old York Village to be a unique and appealing alternative” Adinolfi said. “The New Jersey Turnpike and Route 295 are also only a few minutes away, making this an accessible destination to a dense and desirable demographic both north and west of the center.”
