NAI James E. Hanson negotiates lease to bring Gratitude Homecare to downtown Summit

NAI James E. Hanson said Wednesday that it negotiated a lease for 2,424 square feet of office space in Summit.

Hanson’s Andrew Kirshenbaum and Tom Ryan represented the landlord, Devon Partner Properties LLC, and the tenant, Gratitude Homecare LLC, in the transaction.

Located in downtown Summit at 129 Summit Ave., the property is a two-story, 11,400-square-foot office building with an elevator and access to ample public parking. Situated three blocks from New Jersey Transit’s Summit Train Station at Union Place, the building also offers convenient access to Route 24, Interstate 78 and the Garden State Parkway.

Gratitude Homecare is a growing provider of non-medical, in-home care to seniors, disabled adults, those recovering from surgery, illness or injury and anyone who needs help with the activities of daily living. As it sought a high-quality, conveniently located office space to house its growing business, the company tapped NAI James E. Hanson to navigate the competitive Union County office market to find a property that fit all of its needs.

“The office market in Union County and specifically downtown Summit is extremely competitive due to the favorable demographics and ease of access,” Kirshenbaum stated. “Even then, in many cases when spaces may be available, they don’t fit the unique needs of a tenant like Gratitude Homecare. Because of this, exploring the market without the assistance of a full-service brokerage firm can often be a frustrating endeavor. We’re thrilled to have had a hand in finding a match between tenant and landlord that will ultimately help provide a needed service to the Summit community.”
