Foundation for Health Advancement and Cooper University Health Care announced the organizations will work together to develop opportunities to advance breakthrough biomedical research and technologies within the Cooper University Health Care system.
“As the leading academic health system in southern New Jersey, the addition of Cooper University Health Care further strengthens our foundation’s network as we strive toward new and unique collaborations,” Dr. George Heinrich, vice chair and CEO of Foundation for Health Advancement, noted. “We look forward to working with them to advance even more health-related projects and companies within the state.”
This new affiliation enables Cooper University Health Care clinicians, researchers and other team members to apply for Innovation Grants awarded by FHA. Cooper also will be able to access the Research/Community Health and Social Services Grant program, which are awarded by FHA’s affiliate, the New Jersey Health Foundation.
“FHA is a pillar of funding support for health research and commercialization of innovations of leading health institutions across New Jersey. Working with the FHA will help us network with other organizations, develop health care solutions, improve patient care and bring technology to market,” Neal Lemon, director of the Cooper Innovation Center, noted. “This is a very significant step forward for Cooper and we are delighted to be working with the FHA team to help grow and spread our innovations through New Jersey and the world.”
