In an effort to meet the needs of all those who want to — or need to — get a COVID-19 vaccine booster before the start of the school year, Bergen New Bridge Medical Center will be holding a “Vax to School” booster event on Wednesday afternoon.
The event, which is co-sponsored by the county of Bergen, will be from 3-5 p.m. at the hospital at 230 E. Ridgewood Ave. in Paramus.
You do not need to be a resident of Bergen County to get a booster, but you do need to make an appointment (register here). Those 17 and under must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
Bergen New Bridge CEO Deborah Visconi said the event is a way to solve a need in the community.
“With school approaching and the temperatures cooling, it is important to make it easy and convenient for everyone to get vaccinated or boosted against COVID-19,” she said.
