Bergen New Bridge Medical Center cuts ribbon on new 3D Mammography unit

Bergen New Bridge Medical Center recently cut the ribbon for its new 3D Mammography unit, which is specially designed for patient comfort by combining special mood lighting with patented comfort compression paddles.

Celebrated on Women’s Equality Day, the unit is yet another example of the transformation  ongoing at Bergen New Bridge Medical Center.

“It is so fitting that the ribbon-cutting for this unit was on Women’s Equality Day. While this day was created to initially celebrate the 19th Amendment guaranteeing women the right to vote, it has grown to represent so much more,” Deborah Visconi, CEO and president of Bergen New Bridge Medical Center, stated. “For us, today is about furthering our commitment to women’s health care equity by ensuring state-of-the-art technology is accessible to all, particularly those traditionally underserved. I am proud of my team’s dedication to our mission and grateful for the support of our county executive and elected officials, which fuels our continued growth and ever-increasing ability to provide quality care for our diverse communities.”

“Thanks to our outstanding leadership team and critical enhancements to the Mammography Unit at Bergen New Bridge, the facility has evolved not only into a tremendous hub of health care, but a shining community asset and I am excited for what the future of the facility holds,” Bergen County Executive Jim Tedesco stated.
