Bridgewater pharma firm appoints former Sanofi leader as EVP, chief commercial officer

Bridgewater-based Amneal Pharmaceuticals said it appointed Gustavo Pesquin as executive vice president, chief commercial officer – specialty, effective Tuesday.

Pesquin joins the company from Sanofi, where he served in leadership roles of increasing responsibility over his 11-year tenure, including most recently as North America head for general medicines. Prior to that, Pesquin was the global head of the diabetes and cardiovascular franchise. He also previously served as the global head of Sanofi’s Iberia and Latin America businesses.

Before joining Sanofi, Pesquin held regional head, general manager, sales head and strategy head roles at Abbott and Pfizer, brand management roles at Procter & Gamble and consultant roles with the Boston Consulting Group.
