Alliance Community Healthcare, Hanger Prosthetics and Inter-Con Security are joining a growing roster of tenants at 26 Journal Square in Jersey City, according to a recent announcement from the KABR Group and Kushner.
Located across 1 Journal Square, and built in 1926, the KABR Group and Kushner undertook a $5 million capital improvement project for 11,000 square feet of the 16-floor office tower over the last four years. Some of the upgrades include a new lobby redesign highlighting the original Beaux Arts design, newly renovated elevator cabs, brand-new bathrooms and fixtures, a new high-efficiency cooling tower and updated HVAC in tenant spaces and common areas. The building also offers full-time on-site property management and security, a tenant-shared conference room and amenity lounge and fiber provided by Verizon FIOS and Comcast Business and plenty of transportation options unique to this special modern day landmark. The developers said the newly renovated Class A office building offers state-of-the art cosmetic upgrades, amenities package and nostalgic feel.
“Professional practices continue to rave about 26 Journal Square’s $5 million capital investment program, highlighted by the ‘The Vault,’ a converted bank vault into a conference room and coworking lounge open to all tenants free of charge,” Michael Goldstein, chief operating officer of the KABR Group, stated. “26 Journal Square’s complete transformation, with its truly unique lounge and upgrades to all commons areas, sets our building above its competition.”
Alliance Community Healthcare upgraded and relocated to 26 Journal Square from another Journal Square location, with a 5,826-square-foot commitment. Additionally, Inter-Con Security and Hanger Prosthetics leased 1,826 and 1,713 square feet, respectively.
CBRE senior associate Mike Nieliwodski is handling the leasing at the building.
