Katz & Associates helps revitalize Totowa Square by securing new tenants

 HomeSense, Marshalls, and Total Wine join Aldi

Katz & Associates’ Brian Katz and Amy Staats engaged to reposition Totowa Square, and were able to secure several national top-notch, big box tenants — taking the plaza from 57% vacancy to 97% occupied.

Katz and Staats, exclusive leasing agents for Totowa Square, filled 137,500 square feet with signed leases with:

  • Marshalls (50,000 square feet), now open;
  • Total Wine (32,500 square feet), now open;
  • HomeSense (30,000 square feet), slated to open in October;
  • Aldi (25,000 square feet), which signed in Q3 2019 and opened in Q3 2020.

Totowa Square, the 258,000-square-foot power center located off of Interstate 80 on Route 46 West in Totowa, features extraordinary access and visibility, a new façade and abundant parking. These new stores, which join Hobby Lobby at the center, are replacing big boxes formerly occupied by Babies R Us, Bob’s Stores, Toys R Us and Office Depot.

“It’s exciting to help revamp Totowa Square with Aldi, HomeSense, Marshalls and Total Wine — high-quality stores that will revitalize the center in this top-tier suburban trade area,” Katz, the firm’s CEO, stated.
