Maren Morsch, Princeton-Blairstown Center

The Princeton-Blairstown Center welcomes Maren Morsch as its new assistant director of operations and staff development.

Morsch recently was promoted to the assistant director position after serving as the communications and special events manager since 2019. As assistant director of operations and staff development, Morsch will support the director of programs in all aspects of program coordination, staff training, implementation and delivery at the Blairstown campus.

She will play a major role in the establishment, coordination and implementation of a broad range of experiential, adventure-based and environmental education programs at the Blairstown campus as well as the occasional off-site expedition. Furthermore, she will be responsible for training and supervising staff as well as taking a proactive role in risk management and participant behavior management.

Lauren Blackburn, American Financial Resources

American Financial Resources Inc., a national mortgage lender, is pleased to announce the addition of Lauren Blackburn as director of marketing at AFR, where she will be driving the company’s marketing strategy and contributing to the overall business strategy.

Blackburn joins AFR from First Hope Bank where she served a long tenure, most recently as assistant vice president, marketing officer, where she developed and implemented annual marketing plans.

The DAK Group, an investment bank specializing in mergers, acquisitions, business sales and other strategic advisory services for middle-market business owners, is pleased to announce that Derek Zacarias has joined the firm as a director.

The DAK Group also announced that Marvin Ma has joined the firm as a senior analyst.

Andy Gillis, Anderson & Vreeland Inc.

The appointment of Andy Gillis as vice president & general manager for Anderson & Vreeland Inc., a leading manufacturer of flexographic print technologies, equipment and consumables, is announced by Darin Lyon, CEO & president of Anderson & Vreeland Inc.

Gillis previously served as the vice president of sales & general manager for Anderson & Vreeland and Provident. His expanded management role will now include the Marketing, Manufacturing, Converting, Logistics and Procurement teams.

David Margolis, Violet PR

Violet PR, a boutique New Jersey-based public relations firm, has hired David Margolis as account director to help lead its economic development division. Most recently, Margolis served as principal at Conway PR & Marketing, where he oversaw economic development public relations and marketing campaigns across North America, Europe and Asia. Specifically, Margolis helped cities, states and countries raise their respective profiles to attract business investment.

  • Melissa Clarke (Princeton): Clarke advises on environmental law and real estate transactions, with a particular focus on environmental litigation, penalty and enforcement matters, and cost recovery actions involving federal and state statutes and regulations, such as CERCLA (Superfund), RCRA and New Jersey’s Spill Act. In addition to counseling clients on regulatory compliance, Clarke assists them in obtaining and defending state and federal environmental permits. As a transactional attorney, Clarke regularly negotiates and drafts environmental contractual provisions in a wide variety of corporate and real property transactions.
  • Matthew Veenstra (Minneapolis): Veenstra assists clients with commercial litigation matters, including shareholder disputes and disputes involving contracts, such as noncompetition agreements and insurance policies. He also has extensive experience in financial services litigation, including fraud and lender liability claims. Veenstra handles lawsuits from initial pleadings through dispositive motions and trial. He has significant courtroom experience and has been involved in several high-profile cases in the greater Minneapolis metropolitan area.

Alesha Torres, Larken Associates

Larken Associates, a regional leader in commercial and residential real estate building, development and management, announces the promotion of Alesha Torres to residential accounting manager and Yardi systems administrator. In this role, Torres will expand upon her current role as residential accounting manager to focus on further integrating the Yardi platform into Larken Associates’ daily workflow through new user onboarding, case management and employee training.

Since joining Larken Associates three years ago, Torres has shown an unwavering commitment to the continued success and growth of the firm’s residential accounting department. Recognizing her achievements, Torres was promoted to residential accounting manager from property accountant in 2021 and recently earned her Certified Apartment Portfolio Supervisor certification.
