Sills Cummis & Gross announces 2022 attorney promotions

Four new members and three of counsel named

The Newark-based law firm of Sills Cummis & Gross recently said four attorneys were promoted to members of the firm — Matthew Abrams, Adam Faiella, Laura Sedlak and William Wilkins — and three attorneys have been promoted to of counsel — Jeffrey Gaskill, Gregory Kopacz and Lauren Watson.

All promotions are effective Oct. 1.

Abrams focuses his practice on trusts and estates matters, including estate planning, probate, administration and Surrogate’s Court litigation. He is admitted in New Jersey, New York and the District of Columbia.

Faiella focuses his practice on zoning, land use and redevelopment. He is admitted in New Jersey and New York.

Sedlak focuses her practice on antitrust, intellectual property and franchise litigation, as well as other commercial disputes, in both state and federal courts. She is admitted in New Jersey and New York.

Wilkins focuses his practice on transactional matters, including mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, debt and equity financings, and complex commercial transactions. He also has experience in appellate litigation matters. He is admitted in New Jersey, New York and Pennsylvania.

Gaskill focuses his practice on real estate finance matters, representing lenders in the origination of commercial real estate financing transactions secured by a variety of asset classes including hotels, multifamily apartments, retail, office and industrial. He is admitted in New Jersey.

Kopacz represents debtors, official and ad hoc committees, lenders and strategic parties in insolvency proceedings, distressed transactions, out-of-court workouts and related litigation. He is admitted in New Jersey, New York and Massachusetts.

Watson focuses her practice on complex commercial litigation and arbitration, representing financial institutions, corporations and individuals in both federal and state courts. She is admitted in New Jersey and New York.
