Valley Medical Group, in partnership with Mount Sinai Kravis Children’s Hospital, announced the opening of a general and specialty pediatrics practice in Montvale.
General pediatric care will be provided by Valley Medical Group pediatrician Dr. Cecilia Godoy, a board certified pediatric doctor with a special interest in preventive pediatric care. Her focus is on continuity of care, and to advocate for patients and their families as children grow from infancy and childhood to adolescence.
“My goal is to treat every patient and family with open communication; respect; and quality, evidence-based care,” Godoy stated.
Subspecialty care will be provided by Valley and Mount Sinai pediatric subspecialists. All doctors will see patients at the Montvale location at 135 N. Kinderkamack Road, eliminating the need to travel to Manhattan to see some Mount Sinai subspecialists. Together, Valley and Mount Sinai will provide care in the following areas: cardiology, allergy, developmental pediatrics, endocrinology, diabetes care, gastroenterology, nutrition, pulmonology, physiatry and weight management, at various Valley locations.
“This partnership between Valley and Mount Sinai will provide a thorough and integrated roster of children’s services for northern New Jersey,” Dr. J. Antonio Quiros, chair of children’s services for Valley Medical Group, and clinical professor of pediatrics and faculty member at Mount Sinai Kravis Children’s Hospital and the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, said.
“Through this joint initiative, our organizations further extend our strong commitment to make this type of highly specialized pediatric care easily accessible and close to home,” Dr. Fernando Ferrer, chief operating officer, Mount Sinai Kravis Children’s Hospital, vice chair of hospital operations, Department of Pediatrics, and health network medical director for pediatric services at the Mount Sinai Health System, stated.
“Valley and Mount Sinai share a dedication to providing outstanding patient care,” Audrey Meyers, CEO and president of Valley Health System, said. “We look forward to continuing to build our relationship with Mount Sinai.”
